Code of Conduct for Teachers, Governing Body, Administration Including Director / Principal / Officials and Support Staff

1. Must Do

  • Shall dressed in respectable attire, befitting the society’s expectations shall keep up immaculate personal hygiene at all times.
  • Introduce innovative teaching methods.
  • Shall be on time to classes.
  • Conduct yourself with dignity at all times.
  • Be an example to students.
  • Shall never appear untidy, through style of dressing, grooming of hair or in respect of any other ornament one wears.
  • Shall always listen to students with concern, whether it be in respect of doubts in lesions or it be relating to any personal help.
  • Shall always motivate the students, giving them a feeling of comfort and encouraging their enthusiastic expressions.
  • Shall attend to parents as a true representative of the institution, always give them authentic and correct information clarify their doubts with concern and help them understanding the system in a better manner.
  • Shall confer with parents on any special problem pertaining to their wards; assist them in solving the problem and guiding them properly on how and who to approach for further help.
  • Shall always endeavour to assist fellow teachers, either in their teaching practice or in any form of adjustment required for discharging their responsibilities.
  • Take leave only after arranging for alternative faculty.

2. Don’t Do

  • Do not show partiality or hold personal grudges towards students.
  • Do not take unauthorized leave from college.
  • Do not discuss personal financial or college issues with students.
  • Do not use mobile phones in classrooms/common areas.
  • Do not engage in financial transaction with other staff members.

3. Prohibited

  • Never manipulate marks of students.
  • Never engage in arguments in the common areas.
  • Never instigate students.
  • Never discriminate on the basis of caste, creed, religion, region, nationality, gender, political affinity etc.
  • Don’t take favours from students.
  • Should not conduct tuition for NSAKCET students.


  • To maintain dignity, decency, order, calmness both in the campus and outside the campus.
  • To be regular and punctual to the classes, and to be in the class at least 5 minutes before the commencement of the period.
  • To follow the instructions of the teacher in the class rooms.
  • To maintain perfect order and strict silence inside the lecture hall / drawing hall / laboratories.
  • To be attentive in the class to bring calculators, drafter, charts and data hand books as per the schedule of the classes.
  • To note that the cell phone is strictly prohibited in the campus.
  • To wear identity card inside the campus.
  • To cultivate the habit of looking at notice boards of the institute / department every day.
  • To attend all counselling sessions convened by their mentors and to feel free to explain their academic/ personal / career difficulties and seek solutions.
  • To note that in all discipline matters, the decision taken by the Principal is final and will be a binding on all the students involved.
  • To note that the scholarship amount will be released only when all the scholarship holders put in 75% attendance every month / in the academic year.
  • To furnish, in their own interest, the change in the address of father/guardian, if any, to the office / department as soon as they return from summer.
  • To maintain silence in the library.
  • To submit to the disciplinary jurisdiction of the authorities, and obey the rules and regulations made by the institution from time to time.
  • Not to form any formal and informal groups on the basis of caste, community and religion.
  • Not to be in the canteen or at any public place during working hours of the institute.
  • To note that any violence on the campus, destruction of institute’s property, manhandling of teachers or administrative staff or any other person in the institute campus or the authorities of the institute, and misbehaviour with girl students will be viewed seriously. Erring persons will be liable for disciplinary action such as suspension or rustication for specific period etc.
  • To note that defacing of the campus buildings and walls by writing on them or sticking bills, posters is prohibited.
  • To note that all types of malpractices and unfair means in the examination hall including assault on invigilators, misbehaving in the examination hall, and impersonation are punishable offences.
